Medux International B.V. (hereinafter referred to as “Medux”) stands for healthcare and well-being in the broadest sense of the term. Through its subsidiaries, Medux offers a wide range of assistive devices. We place great importance on the privacy of our customers and ensure that the personal information you provide us with is treated confidentially.
Our privacy statement at a glance
When processing personal data, we take the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’) into account. This means, among other things, that we:
- Define our purposes before processing your personal data, as set out in this privacy statement.
- Store as little personal data as possible and only the data necessary for our purposes.
- Ask for explicit consent for the processing of your personal data, should consent be required.
- Take the necessary security measures to protect your personal data. We also impose these obligations on parties processing personal data on our behalf.
- Respect your rights, such as your right to access, rectification, or erasure of your personal data processed by us.
For what purposes do we use your personal data?
We obtain various personal data from you. We specify for each purpose what data we obtain from you, for what purpose we process these data and for how long they are stored. If you have any questions or would like to know exactly what information we store about you, please contact us. Our contact details are mentioned at the bottom of this privacy statement.
Contacting us or filing a complaint
When you send us an email, contact us by phone, or reach out to us in any other way, you agree to our terms and conditions of contact (execution of the agreement). We will use such messages containing your name, place of residence, contact information (and possibly business information if you contact us from a business perspective), and the content of your message to respond to your request or query. We will retain your data for as long as necessary for this contact or up to a maximum of 2 years after our last contact, because we want to make sure we have handled your question or complaint properly.
Collaboration or sponsorship
Medux consists of various organizations all committed to healthcare and well-being. Medux collaborates with home organizations, healthcare professionals, health insurers, hospitals, municipalities, and suppliers. Does your organization also want to enter into a collaboration with one of our labels? Or do you want support from Medux in the form of a sponsorship? Let us know. As part of a collaboration, we process company data, as well as the names and contact details of our contacts, and the correspondence between parties. We do this based on the legitimate interest we have to collaborate with or sponsor the organization you work for. We will retain your data for the duration of the collaboration or sponsorship and possibly longer due to tax retention obligations.
References
On our website, we present various references from our employees and collaborations. Our goal is to offer you a comprehensive overview of our services and collaborations as well as the experience of working with us. We process data based on consent from the reviewers. This consent can be easily revoked at any time by contacting us using the contact details provided at the bottom of this statement. For this purpose, we process the following data: name of the reviewer, name of the organization where the reviewer is employed, any photos provided by the organization or reviewer, and any personal data as content of the message. We need these data to assess and publish the reference on the website. We will retain the data until you withdraw your consent for publishing the message.
Security
Personal data security is of great importance to us. We therefore take appropriate technical and organisational security measures with regard to the processing of personal data to be carried out, against loss or against any form of unlawful processing (such as unauthorized access, corruption, alteration or disclosure of personal data). We constantly evaluate and update our security measures and pay close attention to what can go wrong.
When can we share your personal data with third parties?
Medux will only share your data with third parties to the extent permitted by current legislation. We may provide your personal data to third parties when:
- We have engaged them to process certain data;
- We have a legal basis to do so;
- We are legally obliged to do so (e.g., if the police demand this in case of suspicion of a crime).
Third parties processing personal data on our behalf of us or yours are:
- IT suppliers and service providers
- Cookie suppliers
- Telecom suppliers
- Engaged consultants and intermediaries
- Partners
- Government services (including the Tax Authorities and municipalities)
Medux may further share your personal data with data controllers that are part of the Medux group of companies, based on a legitimate interest for internal administrative purposes within the group, or if it is necessary to execute the agreement with you. This means that your personal data may be accessible to employees of other entities within Medux. Employees of these entities will only have access to your personal data to the extent necessary for their function. We make sure all employees handle your data carefully, and other entities will not use the personal data for other purposes without a legal basis.
To provide our services, Medux may disclose your personal data to parties located outside the European Economic Area (‘EEA’). Medux only does this if there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of personal data. This means, for example, that we use a model contract from the European Commission or negotiate agreements about the handling of personal data.
